Jagged Alliance 2 is probably one of the best games ever made. Back in 1998-1999 my life was dominated by Half-Life and other shooters rapidly becoming more sophisticated, but this is a true gem. When I actually started playing the full game (1.12) I was blown away with the depth and production value that went into such an old game. This thread made me decide to give the demo a chance and it only took me 2 minutes to realise I must have this game.
I've also eyed it up on GOG for a long time, even wishlisted it but never comitted to buying it. I've actually known about it since it was released, but I never played it despite being curious about it. Hopefuly the modified ini file will work in a game I have currently saved.I want to thank Nimsky for providing the final bit of inspiration I needed to check this game out.
The file usually notes if you should keep certain values of options within a certain degree, just remember to back up the file if you decide to mess around with to much stuff. You can alter the the other stuff as you please. Open that file and scroll down until you see this: Lenriak: Enter the "Data-1.13" folder and you should see a file named "Ja2_Options.ini".
The current version may have a different layout, so keep an eye out for that last line if it does. I haven't updated the mod for a while, in the version I have its just over halfway down the document. STRATEGIC_EVENT_SEND_TROOPS_TO_DRASSEN = TRUEĬhange the TRUE to FALSE and the Drassen attack is off. Can queen send troops to reinforce Drassen like she says she's going to in the Meanwhile.? Thanks! I have looked at the beginning of setting up the game options as well as the hige list of options while in the game. I do not see the option in disabling it though. Byeohazard: I decided to try the V1.13 but I see that disabling the Drassen attack may be a good idea.
